Socrates (469-399 BCE) + Giordano Bruno (1542-1600 CE) = THE FUTURE HISTORY OF THE U.S.A.???

I. Socrates is described as the “Last Rational Man” in the Classical Era because he was executed for the CRIME OF IMPIETY – under a RULE OF LAW that constitutionally guaranteed PUBLIC FREEDOM OF SPEECH categorically and for everything. He advocated nothing in Politics or Religion. He merely drove every Talking Head Public Humbug in Athens crazy by simply asking probative questions about allegations of fact or definitions of sophisticated rhetoric words that were used for public ‘persuasion’ thereof.

II. Giordano Bruno also ADVOCATED NOTHING about Politics or Religion! He too was a SKEPTICAL and RATIONAL INDEPENDENT THINKER who also REFUSED TO PUBLICLY DECLARE HIS OPINION of ANY ALLEGATION of FACT OR RELIGIOUS DOGMA WAS AS FULLY BELIEVABLE TO HIM (i.e., PHILOSOPHICALLY ROOTED FAITHFUL BELIEFS THAT INFORMED AND MOTIVATED PEOPLE IN SOCIETY) as the RULE OF LAW REQUIRED in his world 1999 years after Socrates’ execution! Almost a century after the beginning of the Protestant Reformation, Bruno was tricked into the territorial control of the Papal Inquisition.

Unlike Socrates, Giordano Bruno is known only to a tiny percentage of the tens of thousands of the most Sophisticated Educated (Philosophically and Historically) people in our world. Usually his appearance is presented within an anti-Roman Catholic Church (or anti-Christian Faith, or anti-Western Monotheistic Sincere Religious Faith) context in a Polemic that is sufficiently out-of-context Historically and Philosophically to be mostly persuasive! Two Rationally Methaphysically Factual Points help to clarify the misjudgements therein. They follow:

1) Bruno’s punishment (first on the RACK that broke his knees and secondly by being BURNED TO DEATH AT THE STAKE) was for REFUSING TO PUBLICLY ACCEPT DOGMAS and he therefore committed the crime of HERESY in the Church (or BLASPHEMY to the General Public; or IMPIETY to the world of Socrates twenty centuries earlier; or any such TABOO in any Tribal World).

We live in a world where our country was Constitutionally founded by (more than any other Belief in Personal Liberty) the right of every citizen to Religiously Believe what his Personal Conscience morally makes him sincerely believe. That is the definition of FREEDOM OF CONSCIENCE – the most important Bedrock Principal of Modern Western Civilization’s idea of an OPEN and DEMOCRATIC FREE SOCIETY.

2) Simply publicly questioning (or doubting) certain 1600 CE Roman Catholic Church religious FAITHFUL BELIEFS (or DOGMAS) was only the better-known portion of the charges Bruno was tortured and executed for. There was one other highly complex but PARAMOUNT DOGMA he tried his best in his defense (against credentialed, educated and intellectual persecutors) to explain why what they called SCIENTIFIC TRUTH was factually and rationally not believable. It was a complex ‘Philosophically-Rooted Faithful Belief’ of Church doctrine that Mankind on this Earth was at the absolute center of GOD’S UNIVERSE. They repeatedly and consistently always claimed so because the HOLY SCIENTIST declared it to be a Scientific verification of Christian Belief. Aristotle was the holy scientist – even though he had died 1932 years earlier (over three centuries before Jesus of Nazareth). It is a complex story of how Aristotle reentered Western Higher Education almost four centuries before Bruno’s death. On balance, Aristotle’s old and somewhat misconstrued or distorted lectures vastly improved LOGIC’S importance and the need for CLOSE OBSERVATION OF NATURE into the Christian Church’s control of Higher Education. [The mandatory requirement for SKEPTICAL TESTING and CURIOSITY for INCONSISTENCIES of FACT was only beginning to enter the most RATIONAL portions of Higher Education. (Francis Bacon, a contemporary of Bruno, who likely knew Bruno personally when Bruno taught Mathematics in Protestant England in the late sixteenth century, is justifiably given the primary ‘credit’ for mandatory Skeptical Testing. Socrates’ DIALECTIC is the Rhetorical analog of exactly that Skeptical Testing two thousand years earlier.)]

The gist of Bruno’s challenge was the Church’s vain assumption that God’s creation made (Educated Clergy-led) Western Christian Society ABSOLUTELY FAITHFULLY AND SCIENTIFICALLY CERTAIN in all the irrational Dogmas of the Roman Catholic Church in 1600.

He made the first Scientifically Rational Challenge of Facts about Nature that pre-scientific thought considered ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN about Nature without Scientific Philosophy (or Rational Philosophically Reasoning) verifying it. How he so reasoned follows:

By 1600, close observations of the heavens had accumulated a tremendous amount of precise data that European Mathematicians studied. In the late 16th century, the Danish king had constructed the most modern Observatory for Tycho Brahe who was assisted by Johannes Kepler in studying the planets of the solar system. The Greeks in the pre-Socratic era referred to these heavenly bodies that moved as ‘Planetoids’ – including the observable planets, the sun and the moon. All other, distant stars appeared fixed because of their enormous distance from the earth. The simple idea that the sun rose in the east and set in the west made objective judgement difficult to grasp.

By the time of Bruno’s execution, several dozen educated RATIONAL credentialed mathematicians world-wide shared the CERTAIN SCIENTIFIC KNOWLEDGE that about one thousand distant stars and almost fifty constellations thereof had been identified and named.

It was also certain that most of the planets of our solar system had been identified and their parabolic orbits also identified. The earth did not sit fixed surrounded by all of God’s creation of the universe. The spherical Earth rotated daily creating the illusion of the sun rising in the east and setting in the west – all while revolving around the sun in an annual orbit creating the rotation of the seasons.

Mathematician Galileo Galilei was prosecuted by the exact same careerist political lawyer-cardinal for an almost identical challenge to ‘Scientific’ Dogma, but resisted far less stubbornly. It was Galileo’s study of Nature that introduced Inertia as a critical factor in understanding the motion of projectiles and heavenly bodies in a field of rational thought he called Dynamics. A century later Isaac Newton furthered the study, naming the field Mechanics, inventing calculus and precisely calculating Gravity.

When all the ‘Experts’ and all the ‘Authorities,’ especially the ‘Best’ and the ‘Brightest,’ demand adherence to a Dogma (with but a few dozen Rational Dissenting Independent Thinkers in need of Destruction to maintain Harmony in a neo-Platonist Educated World), Society can continue along the IRRATIONAL path that enables the Ruling Class to comfortably run the world through undemocratic Bureaucracies – local, national and international.

[An interesting fact of this era some four centuries ago is that the Earth passed through what was called a ‘Little Ice Age’ lasting fifty to one hundred and fifty years. Why it came and why it went away is no better understood today than it was back then. Something for a Skeptical and Curious Rational mind to ponder when victimized by the daily drumbeat of the Irrational Political Cliches about ‘ Climate Science,’ ‘Greenhouse Gases,’ ‘Global Warming’ and what other superstitions the credentialed educated thoughtlessly impose to turn what is the Middle Class common people majority of the world into a permanent state of neo-serfdom under absolute control from above.]

The point about the birth of REAL SCIENCE is that Independent Thinkers with Sincere Curiosity about Nature and continual Skeptical Testing of judgements created REAL SCIENCE in a world where Ruling Class claims about scientific certitude were nothing more than an Irrational Political imposition upon Real Data and Real Numbers and Real Measurements which would lead the truly curious to the truth. (And you never get there by ignoring and contradicting the simple Scientific Truths of Physics and Chemistry and Mathematics. How can there be a field called Climate Science which can be ignorant of the fact the Earth’s atmosphere is approximately 80% Nitrogen. Credentialed ‘Science Teachers’ can be and frequently are totally ignorant of such a basic Scientific Truth.)

‘Science’ (and ‘Scientists’) is as phony a word as ‘Educator’ (or ‘Education’) is in a world of universal FAKE ‘NEWS’ (or ‘FRAUDULENT JOURNALISM’) as in the most POWERFUL FRAUDULENT CLICHE in the World’s History: ‘IT HAS BEEN REPORTED BY THE NEW YORK TIMES…’

III. Q: FAKE PHONY EDUCATION + FAKE PHONY SCIENCE + FAKE PHONY NEWS = ??

A: FAKE PHONY POLITICAL POLLS + FRAUDULENT PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION RESULTS!!!

Rational judgement, as both Socrates and Giordano Bruno would insist, begins with the accumulation of all relevant and reliable data.

Skepticism and Curiosity would begin by noticing the variation of Presidential votes when each President runs for reelection. Let us take the noteworthy ones one at a time.

1. Richard Nixon: 1968 – 31.8 million; 1972 – 47.2 million (wins 49 out of 50 states).
2. Ronald Reagan: 1980 – 43.9 million; 1984 – 54.5 million (also wins 49 out of 50 states).
3. George W. Bush: 2000 – 50.5 million; 2004 – 62 million (wins reelection).
4. Barak Obama: 2008 – 69.5 million; 2012 – 65.9 million (4.5 million less than original election, but still wins by 5 million rather than 9.5 million).
5. Donald J. Trump: 2016 – 63 million; 2020 – 74 million.

Logical Mathematics cannot agree with this election.

• Before the 2020 election, the largest vote totals in history were the following:
  • Obama 2008 69.50 million
  • Obama 2012 65.92 million
  • H. Clinton 2016 65.85 million
  • Trump 2016 62.98 million Loses popular vote; wins Electoral College
• And here we are after the fraudulent 2020 election. And we are supposed to believe the following allegations:
  • Trump wins 73.96 million votes (not counting the plethora of uncounted and missing ballots for which hundreds of affidavits and public statements by eye-witnesses to the Democratic Party cheating).
  • Biden (a candidate who could not get a rally going) supposedly received 80.2 million votes and still counting. That number is over 14 million more votes than Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Barak Obama who won easily in 2012. This improbable and even laughable total is already 10.7 million votes more than the previous highest number of popular votes Barak Obama received in his 2008 landslide initial victory.

So much for the overview.

As for the verbalized political struggle that proceeds until the 2021 Inauguration (and no doubt beyond), certain points of Fraudulent Political Rhetoric should be Rationally addressed. Three essays ago on this Blog I made mention of How political discussion (propaganda and organization especially) always operates.

Political Rhetoric always operates via the widespread utilization of Political Cliches. They begin in the Oratory of Political Leaders, propagate through the widespread repetition of same by organizational members (and unaffiliated ‘volunteers’) and ultimately become repeated ad nauseum by even the stupidest ‘Useful Idiot’ Followers (to use Lenin’s term) so as to enable even morons with a room temperature IQ to sound ‘smart’ enough to publicly insult (even humiliate) any open-minded Independent Thinker for not being up-to-date on the latest ‘understanding’ of the topic.

We are now, as of December 4, in a state in which three prominent Political Cliches have gained widespread circulation. One is highly specific in its employment by Lawyers in general and Judges in particular. The second is a general Irrational Social Deference Idiocy based on the Faithful Belief that there is no such thing as Fake News. (Four years of News Media Defamatory Lying is completely forgotten.) And the third is a more specific version of the Social Deference Fallacy [known in Logic as the Fallacy of Argument from Authority (Argumentum ad Vericundium)]. Let me take them in reverse order.

Every Trump supporter with access to any form of media including most especially (presumably conservative) ‘Talk Radio’ has heard a never-ending parade of putatively Conservative voices claim: ‘I HAVE (PERSONALLY) SEEN NO EVIDENCE THAT WOULD CHANGE THE RESULT.’ I have compiled silently quite a mental list of such Careerists on my permanent ‘Shit List’ of those never to be taken seriously. (Often simple ‘Cowardice’ in the face of Left-Wing perpetual vindictiveness buttressed the Careerist selfishness as the explanation for such meek submission to the Narcissistic Left-Wing Tribe of Bullies and Liars. How many such traitors to the Truth have you heard say: ‘I have seen no evidence that would change the result of the election.’

The second political cliche is a simplistic justification for refusal to even look at any Inconsistencies of Fact that any open-minded independent thinker would be Curious about. When anyone tells me anything ‘HAD BEEN DEBUNKED,’ I grow Curious about not only WHAT has been DEBUNKED – but even more so for the Reasoning and Proof of the Debunking. I am always open to Rational argument and proof. I am progressively more insulted and pissed-off at the Bullying repetition of any form of Argument ad Vericundium – especially by an emotional and dramatic ROBO-USEFUL-IDIOT. In groups, they make me even angrier! To the best of my understanding no eye-witness evidence of Democrat voter fraud ‘has been debunked.’ Earlier today I watched on Breitbart a video of a Georgia State Senator watching a lengthy video of Democrat voter fraud and dismissing it as ‘having been debunked.’ In a Rational world such politicians would be dragged off to an insane asylum before they could do more damage.

[There is an old joke about a husband who comes home at an odd hour and finds his wife in bed with another man. The lying wife’s ‘explanation:’ ‘What are you going to believe – what I tell you or your own eyes?’]

The first of the three cliches operates in the Lawyer Industry. In a trivial unimportant case, it may well be reasonable for a judge to redirect by dismissal a law suit because a particular plaintive ‘HAS NO STANDING.’ When a Presidential Election is being stolen by massive Voter Fraud and case after case is being ignored by the State and Federal Judiciaries of the country, a Rational mind begins to wonder if there will ever be Truth and Justice in America again.

In the election of 2000, when the Supreme Court finally ended the Democrat Party’s attempt to steal the Florida Electors, that court’s Chief Justice, Lewis Rehnquist, had a long history of integrity. Today’s Chief Justice and today’s Attorney General have revealed themselves, to my understanding, as RINOs best understood as a ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing.’

It is my pessimistic expectation that Truth and Justice in America will be confirmed as D.O.A. at the Inauguration of Joseph Biden in January 2021.
